Modern ERP systems are powerful backbones for managing operations, inventory, and finance, but when it comes to detailed production planning and scheduling, most fall short. Static views, limited capacity insights, and short-term planning make it difficult to reach the level of agility today’s manufacturers demand. DELMIA Ortems bridges these gaps with advanced planning, scheduling, and simulation tools that transform ERP data into actionable, optimized production plans.
Let our experts analyze your ERP planning gaps and show you optimization opportunities.
When production lines, people, and machines must be synchronized in real time, ERP alone is rarely enough. Why? Even the best ERP systems often lack the depth needed for complex production environments. Add-on modules can help but typically remain constrained by ERP’s architecture. What’s needed is a dedicated APS system built to support production at every stage of your planning and scheduling processes.
Limited visibility into machine and workforce capacity
Static, short-term planning with minimal optimization
Fragmented data views that make comparison difficult
No “what-if” simulations to test planning decisions
Manual rescheduling that creates inefficiencies and delays
As a fully autonomous APS solution, DELMIA Ortems complements any ERP environment with advanced planning and scheduling capabilities proven across industries and production types. By combining ERP data with real-time capacity constraints, it delivers reliable, optimized, and highly agile production plans, even across multisite operations.
Here's what you can expect:
Create realistic, executable plans aligned with machine, labor, and material availability.
Instantly replan when machines fail, materials are delayed, or rush orders arrive.
Test alternative routings, batch sizes, or capacity scenarios before committing to the shop floor.
Achieve faster planning cycles with significantly fewer manual adjustments.
Minimize bottlenecks, changeovers, and downtime while maximizing throughput.
Consolidate all constraints into a single, dynamic Gantt view with real-time performance indicators.
Improve on-time-in-full rates, shorten lead times, and achieve results beyond standard ERP capabilities.
Unify multiple planners and plants in one synchronized plan built for complex manufacturing networks.
Stay adaptive in volatile sectors such as MedTech, A&D, and automotive through advanced simulation and real-time control.
Capitalize on robust out-of-the-box features, configure interfaces easily, and integrate with your ERP without hard coding.

See what manufacturers say about DELMIA Ortems:
The major benefit of DELMIA Ortems is being able to cross-reference our data with our current ERP. DELMIA Ortems lets us provide reliable lead times to our end customers and sales representatives who are deployed in the field.
The greatest value of DELMIA Ortems is to help us optimize our production processes and make best use of our resources as we have a clear view of upcoming manufacturing orders.
DELMIA Ortems was selected as the best scheduling and planning solution available, particularly because it interfaces very easily with ERPs in general, (…). Before DELMIA Ortems, there wasn’t really any planning.
Today, we regularly have 2,500 order lines in production with 1 order line per end-product, and to verify that we are able to deliver when we say so, we cannot turn to our ERP solution because it’s not able to provide us with our plants’ workloads. So we implemented Manufacturing Planner from DELMIA Ortems to organize our production as a function of our customers’ orders and desired delivery dates.
The planning solution is fully integrated with our forecasting tools and enterprise resource planning system. That means all planning-related tools update automatically. Everyone across the manufacturing operation can see all production orders and stock levels, based on real-time data.
We needed to be able to determine whether we could manage an order that exceeded our usual capacity. It’s been really useful to visualize how we can do these production runs and identify bottlenecks before they become an issue. With DELMIA Ortems, we can do this perfectly.
